Course Overview
Our ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems course provides an introduction to ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems.
Participants will gain the necessary knowledge for understanding the application of the requirements of ISO 14001 within an organisation’s Environmental Management System (EMS). Upon completion of the course, participants will have developed an understanding of the ISO 14001 standard, and will be equipped with the essential skills required to manage and improve environmental performance effectively.
The course includes a detailed overview of the clauses of the ISO 14001:2015 standard and assessments to achieve the Exemplar Global-EM Competency Unit.

This course has been developed under the Exemplar Global Training Provider and Examiner Certification Scheme (TPECS) to meet the requirements of the Exemplar Global-EM Competency Unit.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive the following globally recognised Exemplar Global Competency Unit:

This course has the equivalent of 8 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
There are no formal pre-requisites for this course.
This course is designed for individuals who have completed previous Lead Auditor training, such as the Integrated Management Systems Lead Auditor course, and have reasonable prior knowledge of ISO standards and/or Environmental management systems.
It is most suited to:
- Managers, Team Leaders & Supervisors who have a part in managing their Integrated Management System and/or responsibilities within their workplace or who are looking to implement an Environmental Management System
- HSEQ Managers in an operational environment who are responsible for managing their EMS compliance, whilst controlling and managing existing Environmental risks
- Lead & Internal Auditors looking to expand their scope to audit Environmental Management Systems
While the course is particularly beneficial for those employed in high-risk industries, the knowledge and skills developed can be applied in a systems assurance role in any industry.
